Day 0 – Tuesday 15th June
The team members will stay on Pulau Tenggol and give an awareness talk to the guests staying at the resort where the team stays.

Day 1 – Wednesday 16th June
8am Press conference to be held at 8am before the walk commences. The walk will start at 8.15am with the team walking the entire stretch of the beach and then visiting all beaches on both islands before heading back to the jetty in Dungun.
10am Arrive at Dungun and head to Kampong Pantai Lama
10-2 Lunch
2-6pm Walk along the beach (10km) – the average person walks 3 miles per hour. In the heat and on the beach whilst collecting data we are assuming we are can walk roughly 3km per hour. Therefore a target of 10km in 4 hours is a realistic target. The day will finish at Rantau Abang. A visit and talk with the staff at Rantau Abang to discuss what they are doing and the future of the Leatherback Turtles in Terengganu.

Day 2 – Thursday 17th June
6-10am Starting from Rantau Abang the walk will continue along the beach, passing K. Jambu Bongkok and K. Baharu before stopping south of K.Penarik.
10am-2pm Lunch
2 – 6pm The walk will visit K.Penarik, Gong Balai, cross a small stream, K Kolam before stopping for the night at K.Pulau Rusa Baharu.

Day 3 – Friday 18th June
6 – 10am K. Serating, Kuala Tengah, K. Pulau Kerengga
10am- 2pm Lunch
2 – 6pm Alur Tuman, K. Kelului, K. Ru Lima, K Ru Muda, Marang (sleep in Marang)

Day 4 – Saturday 19th June
6 – 10am Take early boat to P. Kapas and circumnavigate P.Kapas and P.Gemia then head back to Marang.
10am- 2pm Lunch
2 – 6pm Paya Ru Rendang, K. Ru Dua, K. Gong Rusila, walk past marina and start again near K. Aur, cross river and stay at Taman Sri Pantai

Day 5 – Sunday 20th June
6 – 10am Pantai Batu Buruk, Kuala Terengganu, Seberang Takir, Telaga Daing, Tok Jambal finish at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT).
10am- 2pm Interview with Dr Juanita Joseph (leading expert in Sea Turtles at UMT) followed by a press conference held at 11am. Take lunch with students from UMT before giving an awareness presentation.
2 – 6pm UMT, Pengkalan Maras, Padang Maras, Batu Rakit, Padang Polis, Ru Tujuh, River outlet. The river outlet has a very black discharge the plume is very distinguishable on satellite images. We will talk about the important link between land and the sea and role played by rivers. Polluting rivers is like polluting the sea.

Day 6 – Monday 21st June
6 – 10am Merabang Panjang, Ru Tapai, Merang, then take boat to Lang Tengah
10am- 2pm Lunch at Lang Tengah
2 – 6pm Circumnavigate Lang Tengah before heading up the west coast of redang. Stay overnight at Chagar Hutang joining in their turtle project and contribute in sea turtle conservation.

Day 7 – Tuesday 22nd June
6 – 10am East coast of Redang then circumnavigate Pulau Yu (big and small) and Bidong before stopping in Merang

2 – 6pm Merang, Telaga Papan, Bari Kecil

Day 8 – Wednesday 23rd June
6 – 10am Ru Sepuluh, Penarik, K. Baharu,
10am- 2pm Lunch interview Prof Chan from Turtle Conservation Centre and talk about River Terrapin project.
2 – 6pm walk to the mouth of S. Penarik. In the evening follow the Turtle Conservation Centre while we track freshwater turtles.

2 – 6pm walk past S. Kedapan and K. Kedapan

6 – 10am Sentosa, Air Tawar, Seberang Timur, Kuala Besut and Teluk Budu
10am- 2pm Besut
2 – 6pm boat to Perhentian Kecil circumnavigate then circumnavigate Besar visit Tiga Ruang interview staff, finish at Bubbles Dive Resort. Host press conference at Bubbles Dive Resort and host an evening talk followed by presentation of cheques to the 6 sea turtle conservation projects in Terengganu.
