Day 2 Am go on a group snorkel tour of the island before coming back for lunch followed by a turtle talk, turtle drill and forest walk. Conduct evening chores. After dinner start your first turtle watch duties (8pm til 3am then 3am til 8am) on a rota system and prepare for the Turtles need Trees (TnT) Club. (B, L, D)
Day 3 The mornings are generally free and giving time for volunteers with PADI qualifications to go leisure diving however the groups not involved in turtle watch conduct morning chores like raking the resort and beach clean before the guests get up. Fish ID talk and practice is followed by prep for the TnT Club. Conduct evening chores and after dinner continue to prepare for the TnT Club. (B. L, D).
Collect coral bleaching data.
Day 4 (Thursday) Non-turtle watch groups to do morning chores and then everyone takes a boat to the village to run the TnT Club. Stay in the village over night in accommodation owned by some villagers spreading money to the local community and play with the children before sunset. You will be given an allowance for your food to spend in local restaurants again increasing the economic benefit of volunteers to more villagers (B, L, D).
Day 5 -6 Follow normal morning routine and in the afternoons learn about corals and brush up on your fish ID skills then conduct proper Coral Watch and Fish ID surveys. You will also be introduced to our Rubbish Reused initiative where the rubbish we collect from beach cleans is turned into something valuable and sold to guests. For example toys and pillows stuffed with polystyrene or plastic bag crocheted sea creatures. Your ideas for the Rubbish Reused initiative are always welcome and you will be expected to try and make things during the evenings and turtle watches . In this time you will be expected to start preparing daily presentations (turtle, shark, reef, forest, fish ID, Coral Watch and Bubbles) which you will present to the guests (B, L, D).
Take part in the Turtles need trees club Perhentian
Day 7 (Sunday) For 1 week volunteers say a fond farewell to the island and take a midday transfer to the mainland. The other volunteers take a much needed day off (B, L, D)
Day 8-12 In this period you may be lucky enough to host an environmental awareness group at the site, in 2009 we had groups from World Challenge and Mens Health and in 2010 we are seeking many more groups to help spread environmental awareness. You will conduct a forest survey (vegetation, small mammal, bird/reptile or insect). If suitable in small groups you will be given projects to complete which will further either environmental awareness or direct conservation at the project site. The volunteers are expected to help host lunchtime daily awareness talks to all guests and welcome talks about the resort in the evening for new guests. The usual morning and evening chore, turtle watch and rubbish reused craft will continue. PLEASE NOTE if you want to do a PADI Scuba dive course then this is the period you will complete it. It is important for you to understand that when doing the dive course you will not be able to do other volunteer activities and the course will be conducted over the whole day and due to tourist commitments the course maybe conducted during scheduled days off (B, L, D)
Day 14 (Sunday) Volunteers staying for 2 weeks take a midday boat back to the mainland and continuing volunteers take a day off. (B, L, D)
Day 15 Welcome new volunteers, experienced volunteers take the new volunteers for water confidence and in pairs

The fortnightly TnT Club will be on day 18 and at least 1 experienced volunteer will e in each turtle watch group if suitable. Experienced volunteers to continue giving talks through the third week and then the new vols and experienced vols will give talks in the fourth week (B, L, D)
Day 28 Volunteers staying for 4 weeks take a midday boat back to the mainland and continuing volunteers take a day off. (B)-volunteers leaving (B, L, D)
