As of February 22nd 2010 Help Our Penyu and Ecoteer have joined forces with Responsible Gap to ensure foreign volunteer fees are covered if you anything goes wrong like illness or travel issues and you have to cancel, Responsible Gap are ABTA members so you can be sure you are safe when volunteering with Help Our Penyu. We believe it is important that our volunteers are always covered and we see it as our duty to do so.

Foreign volunteer please make payment via Responsible Gap whereas Malaysian volunteer fees can be paid at the project site.

We also see it as our duty to ensure you know where your money is being spent.

For a typical 3 week volunteer program it costs – GBP799

GBP450 – food, accommodation and boat transfers
GBP70 – insurance and legal costs in the UK
GBP 150 – given to HOPE for running costs
GBP 50 – marketing
GBP80 – Perhentian Village fund
