Marine turtles are some of the better known sea creatures in the world with currently 7 species worldwide. They have been around for about 200million years and have even out lived the dinosaurs. Marine turtles come from a similar period as crocodiles and have many things in common. In the past sailors have been known to tell tales of moving rocks in the seas however theirnumbers have declined dramatically in the past 50 years the world over. Marine turtles are on the brink of extinction and no more so than in Malaysia.
