Wan Ahmad Azimi bin Wan Azmin
Azimi or as he is more fondly know as Jimi, graduated from the Universiti Malaysia Terengganu under the guidance of Malaysia’s top sea turtle conservationist Prof Chan. He has worked at several sea turtle hatcheries working with 3 different species – Green, hawksbill and Olive Ridley. Not unlike mother turtles he is going back to his roots and saving turtles in the North East of Peninsular Malaysia through starting Help Our Penyu.

Daniel Quilter
Daniel was inspired, like many, by David Attenborough and, like not so many, by snorkeling in the cold murky British waters. After completion of his coastal community alternative livelihood masters Daniel has gained various volunteer and marine conservation experience in the Uk and Malaysia. He is the founder of Ecoteer.com and can often be seen, or shall I say heard, singing Indonesian music of which he doesnt understand!

Anuar Abdullah
Anuar was born in the fishing village of Dungun in the 1960’s. When he was young he used to ride his bike to Rantau Abang and watch the gentle leatherback turtles climb up the beach. He can tell many a tale about things he found washed up on the beach. His first hand experience of the demise of the marine environment in Terengganu fuelled his passion for marine conservation and uses his tales and drawings to promote marine conservation. He has lived most of his life on islands in SE asia and intimately knows the villagers of Perhentian, Redang and the coastal mainland.
